“Everything
Bad Turns Into Something Good” |
|

Hi, I’m Jessica
Bishop, Jim’s Daughter, my dad is a great
guy and he is always trying to teach me new
things. In all of the things that he has taught
me in my lifetime, I think this is the most
valuable.
He is always telling
me, “Jess, don’t look at bad things
as bad things try to make something good out
of the bad things.” And you know what,
I do just that, it may be hard sometimes, but
it sure does make life a lot better. Try it,
even with the little things. We’ll here
some background on my dad, in his own words,
and how he came up with the saying, “Everything
thing bad turns into something good.”

I was born in the Ohio
River Valley, which looks much like the Winona
and LaCrosse area. At eight years old I developed
a non-curable kidney ailment, and by age twenty
I was on my way to the death bed. The power
of a wonderful parent’s love, can change
that quickly, they were not going to sit back
and watch me die. My mother and I came to the
Rochester Mayo Clinic to have a transplant done.
My mother, being a strong, loving, women, gave
me one of her kidneys, so that I could have
a second chance at life.
After the transplant,
I did not return to Ohio, for I had met my amazing
wife Debbie. Several years after we were married,
we had two beautiful children Adam and Jessica.
As the children grew up, I worked many years
at Adamson Motors as a new cars salesman. My
customers always knew they could find me if
they wanted to praise their new car or make
a complaint about it, I’m always there
for my customers.
Then in recent years,
I had a chance to have my own dealership. With
the help of Jack Just, who was then the owner
of Just Rite Market, we rebuilt Eastwood Motors
with a sparkle and a shine. With the help of
a very knowledgeable mechanic, Ron Collett,
we repair vehicles price ranges $500 to $5000.
The store is doing well, and so am I. Just when
I thought my life was over, it was only just
beginning. Just as I always say, “Everything
bad, turns into something good.”

Now,
I’m not sure why you are looking for a different
car right now, maybe your sixteen year old son
or daughter crashed you car, maybe they are just
turning the driving age or maybe your last car
bit the dust, but here at Eastwood Motors we hope
you can look at this as a good thing, because
we look forward to meeting you, and we hope we
can make you as happy with you next car as you
were with your last car. |
